Similarity in Ascaris lumbricoides and Anopheles stephensi is
- sexual dimorphism
- metamerism
- anaerobic respiration
- endoparasitism.
Answer
(1) sexual dimorphism
Solution
As per NCERT, Aschelminthes ( Ascaris) are dioecious, and often females and males are distinct (female longer than male).
⇒ In Anopheles (an insect) also the sexes are separate and male and female look different (e.g. bushy antennae in males).
∵ Ascaris is not metamerically segmented, Anopheles is not an endoparasite, and the adult mosquito respires aerobically.
∴ The common feature is sexual dimorphism.
