Ques. 1JEE Main 2024, 29 January (Morning Shift)

A solution of H2SO4 is 31.4% H2SO4 by mass and has a density of 1.25 g/mL. The molarity of the H2SO4 solution is M (nearest integer) [Given molar mass of H2SO4 = 98 g mol-1]

Answer

4

Solution

Take 100 g solution ⇒ 31.4 g H2SO4 = 31.498 = 0.3204 mol

Volume = 100 g1.25 g mL-1 = 80 mL

M = 0.320480 1000 = 4.005 4
