What external changes are visible after the last moult of a cockroach nymph ?
- Both fore wings and hind wings develop

- Labium develops
- Anal cerci develop
Answer
(1) Both fore wings and hind wings develop
Solution
As per NCERT, the development of cockroach is paurometabolous, i.e. through a nymphal stage. The nymph looks very much like the adult.
The nymph grows by moulting about 13 times to reach the adult form; the next-to-last nymphal stage has wing pads, but only adult cockroaches have wings.
∴ After the last moult, both fore wings (tegmina) and hind wings develop.
