Ques. 1JEE Main 2024, 8 April (Evening Shift)

Molality of an aqueous solution of urea is 4.44 m. Mole fraction of urea in solution is x 10-3, Value of x is . (Integer answer)

Answer

74

Solution

4.44 m means 4.44 mol urea in 1000 g water.

Moles of water = 100018 = 55.56

Xurea = 4.444.44 + 55.56 = 4.4460

= 0.074 = 74 10-3, so x = 74.
