Character which is closely related to human evolution

  1. Reduction in size of jaws
  2. Disappearance of tail
  3. Flat nails
  4. Binocular vision

Answer

(2) Disappearance of tail

Solution

Flat nails and binocular (stereoscopic) vision are general primate characters, found also in monkeys.

Loss of the tail is a feature of the hominoid line (apes and man) and is closely linked with the upright posture and bipedal walking of man; in man the tail is represented only by the vestigial coccyx.

∴ Disappearance of tail is the character closely related to human evolution.
