Cuboidal epithelium with brush border of microvilli is found in

  1. Ducts of salivary gland
  2. Proximal convoluted tubule of nephron
  3. Eustachian tube
  4. Lining of intestine

Answer

(2) Proximal convoluted tubule of nephron

Solution

As per NCERT, the cuboidal epithelium is commonly found in ducts of glands and tubular parts of nephrons in kidney; its main functions are secretion and absorption.

The epithelium of the proximal convoluted tubule (PCT) of nephron in the kidney has microvilli (brush border).

The lining of intestine has columnar epithelium with microvilli; ducts of salivary glands have cuboidal epithelium without a brush border; the Eustachian tube is lined by ciliated epithelium.

Cuboidal epithelium with brush border is found in the PCT of nephron.
