A decrease in blood pressure/volume will not cause the release of
- atrial natriuretic factor
- aldosterone
- ADH
- renin
Answer
(1) atrial natriuretic factor
Solution
A fall in blood pressure/volume stimulates JG cells to release renin (→ angiotensin II → aldosterone) and also causes release of ADH; all of these raise the blood pressure.
As per NCERT, an increase in blood flow to the atria of the heart causes the release of atrial natriuretic factor (ANF), which causes vasodilation and decreases blood pressure.
∴ ANF is not released when blood pressure/volume decreases.
