  1. Computed tomography (CT)
  2. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
  3. Histopathological studies
  4. Radiography (X-ray)

Answer

(2) Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)

Solution

As per NCERT, radiography (X-rays) and CT use X-rays, which are ionising radiations.

⇒ MRI uses strong magnetic fields and non-ionising radiations to accurately detect pathological and physiological changes in living tissue.

⇒ Histopathological study needs a piece of tissue (biopsy) to be removed.

∴ MRI is the safest technique.
