6326 + 10 1325 + 10 2324 + 10 22323 + + 10 2243 is equal to :

  1. 226
  2. 325
  3. 326
  4. 225

Answer

(1) 226

Solution

Let S = 6326 + T, where T = 10 1325 + 10 2324 + + 10 2243

General term of T: 10 2k325-k = 10325 6k, k = 0, 1, , 24

T = 10325(1 + 6 + 62 + + 624)

= 10325 625 - 16 - 1

= 2(625 - 1)325

= 2 225 - 2325 = 226 - 2325

Also 6326 = 2325

S = 2325 + 226 - 2325 = 226
